" Your denial of my citizen's right to vote is the denial of my right of consent as one of the governed, the denial of my right of representation as one of the taxed, the denial of my right to a trial by a jury of my peers as an offender against law, therefore, the denial of my sacred rights to life, liberty, property..."
Susan B. Anthony was a women that fought for woman's rights. During the 19th century she promoted movements and speeches in order to accomplish her goal of obtaining women's right. The quote above clearly states what Anthony was trying to accomplished with her movements. She wanted equality between citizens, just like John Locke who believed that every one has the right of life, liberty and property.
